Now through June 3 – Only in Tempe, AZ- get a bite of the world's only Michelin-starred tacos
To celebrate the addition of Aeroméxico to Sky Harbor, offering great roundtrip fares on direct flights to CDMX from Phoenix, GrinGO CEO Brian Krupski brought a slice of Mexico’s most revered street food tradition to Arizona: the only Michelin-starred taco in the world.

The featured taquería, El Califa de León, has been serving Mexico City locals since 1968 and was recently recognized by the Michelin Guide as the first-ever taco stand in the world to earn a Michelin star. Its signature taco de gaonera—a deceptively simple preparation of thinly sliced beef seasoned with salt and lime—has become a global icon of authenticity and flavor. Now, for 13 days only, it's being served on Mill Avenue.

Krupski, formerly a Mexico Affairs Advisor for the Arizona-Mexico Economic Council, coordinated the pop-up in partnership with the Government of Mexico, who contributed a custom "Mexico" sign to celebrate the occasion. His background in cross-border business gave him the vision—and the connections—to bring this idea to life. Through this event, Krupski crafted an experience that honors Mexican heritage and showcases the power of food as a universal language.

During the inauguration, Mayor Corey Woods of Tempe took the first bite, signaling what this moment truly was: more than tacos.
Behind Every Extraordinary Taco Is an Extraordinary Ingredient
For this event, only the best would do.
WorldClass proudly partnered on the experience, providing the premium ingredients worthy of Michelin-level flavor:
- Devesa’s grass-fed tenderloin and short rib—rich in marbling, intense in flavor, and buttery in texture—transformed each gaonera taco from street snack to showstopper.
- Fermín’s Ibérico pork loin brought unmatched tenderness and a signature nutty-sweet depth—the kind of flavor that lingers long after the last bite.
This is street food—refined, reimagined, and unmistakably WorldClass.
Taste the World’s Best
At WorldClass, we believe some experiences can’t be replicated—only savored. And this event, where Michelin-level tacos met world-class ingredients, was exactly that.
